Hi, I'm Anas Alchalabi

Anas is a Startup & SME Development specialist focusing on building and scaling businesses in post-conflict countries. He led the design and implementation of economic recovery, investment readiness, and financial inclusion programs in Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Turkey, Egypt, and Morocco. Additionally, he managed the largest refugee business accelerator in the Middle East with +300 ventures. Before his career in economic development, Anas worked on A.I. and Data Science with a Google-backed startup, and worked in the film and media sector.

This blog started as a hobby a few years ago, but has since grown into a diary of my journey across the Middle East, and especially Iraq, with its ups and downs.
